A unique way of celebrating National Poetry Day

We are beginning a series of famous quotes from the achievers after whom our classes are named: "I like to learn. That's an art and a science." Katherine Johnson NASA mathematician and the person who inspired the film of her life "Hidden Figures" in 2016.

Our girl's football team who have won their league and now play against the other Thurrock champions. Amazing that despite a opening day defeat and mainly having a team of Year 5's our team have achieved so much. Thanks to Mr Thomas and Mr Perry plus our parent helpers

Looking forward to seeing as many of our community as possible at this Friday's Community Event. Please bring food and join our celebration of the rich diversity and warmth of our academy community.

Ms Arnell was delighted to see the inspirational writing of one of our amazing Reception writers. On our snow-delayed, World Book Day celebration, this star pupil had come dressed as a dragon and then written independently about the dragon in his story.

More great coverage of our success in this week.

Great news for HPACH!

Our Dad and Male Role Model Days were a success with over 300 visitors spending a half day in class with their child. Thanks to Ms Arnell and the PTA and Staff who helped. Thanks to the men who braved our Primary Academy and who kept to all our safeguarding guidance.

An amazing end to a very positive week with one of our talented Year 5 pupils showcasing artwork she produced as part of her homework and which extends the talents we have seen her demonstrate in our academy art studio.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents and staff for being so supportive. We apologise for any inconvenience by tomorrow's closure however we are confident that you will agree that the health and safety of our HPACH community is of paramount importance.

After battling hard for the last 2 days to keep the Academy open, we have taken the decision to close on Friday 2nd March. As you will be aware we have been constantly assessing the site during the bad weather and feel that due to health and safety concerns we need to close.

The coach returning from the Treginnis school journey is at Membury Service Station so estimated time of arrival is around 3.30 p.m.

Dad and Male Role Model Day

Tuesday 6th March and Wednesday 7th March 2018 are Dad or a Male Role Model Day at our academy.

Children will be joined in class for a half day by Dads, or a significant male figure from their lives. Anyone wishing to join their child in class would have already registered with the academy and be advised as to the time they need to arrive at the academy for their safeguarding and health and safety briefing.

Adults attending on these two days will enjoy seeing their children learn in their classrooms and will hopefully develop a better understanding of how we teach and structire learning at the academy. It looks to be a very exciting day, following on from the success of the the Dads' days in the Spring term 2017.
