This week, Year 5 had a fantastic visit from the Eco-Truck. The children learnt why it is important to look after our planet for future generations and discussed ways to be more sustainable. They learnt what different colour bins mean and where to put their waste so it can be disposed of carefully. They learnt how plastic is affecting our oceans and how animals are put in danger by plastic bags and bottles. Lastly, they discovered how waste is burnt, releasing dangerous gases. Year 5 have had some wonderful, thoughtful conversations, and came up with some fantastic ideas on whatwe can do to be greener. Well done Year 5!
