As we all know, plastic is not easily degraded and will end up in land-fill, potentially poisoning our land when it does eventually breakdown.

The company BIC sells 8.9 million pens a year and there are many more companies resulting in our landfills getting filled with tonnes of plastic each year.

The Eco-Council have a solution! They have found a company that recycles the plastic from pens, so now every classroom has a pen recycling box for all of our used pens.
